Invitation for Partnership Development 2019
Introduction
The Welsh Broadcasting Trust is a registered charity, established to promote and support educational activities in relation to television, film, radio and new media. Its aim is to expand and enrich the range of skills and experience of media professionals of the future; offer practical opportunities for newcomers and facilitate access to the media for communities.
Ymddiried is keen to expand its reach by taking the opportunity of developing strategic partnerships with other organisations operating in the creative industries in Wales, by providing funding that will add value to new or existing projects or activities. It is not the Trust’s wish or intention to fund any activity in its entirety.
Details
Duration of activity:
Consideration will be given to one-off projects or longer term activities. It is our intention to agree funding by mid January 2019, and it is anticipated that the projects will start anytime from February 2019 until September 2019. For longer term or repeat activities and events funding may be available until March 2020.
Total funding available:
The total amount of funding that can be applied for in this round is £20,000. The minimum amount of funding for any single project is £5,000 and the maximum is £20,000. All costs must be inclusive of VAT if applicable.
Applicants:
The Trust welcomes applicants from a broad range of organisations including community groups and the third sector, schools, colleges and training providers as well as small to medium sized enterprises. Projects that demonstrate a strong partnership approach will be particularly welcome. Funding for student films as part of a degree or a post graduate course will not be considered.
Awarding Criteria:
Successful projects and activities will demonstrate the following:-
- a clear educational purpose
- a strong partnership approach
- evidence of need for the project / activity
- a robust project plan and budget
- relevant knowledge and experience of team
- clarity in terms of the added value that a partnership with the Welsh Broadcasting Trust will bring to the activity including how its financial contribution will be utilised
- measurable outcomes in terms of benefits to the participants and to the creative industries in Wales
- inclusive selection criteria for participants
- value for money
- financial stability
- commitment to equal opportunities and diversity within the project

Confirmation of projects which have been shortlisted.
January 9th, 2019 – 5.00 p.m
Full application to be submitted following award criteria as outlined above.
The application will be based on the written proposal but Ymddiried may ask for supplementary information and possibly ask the applicants to attend an interview if required.
All shortlisted applicants will be informed of the final decision by the January 31st, 2019
